At management4education, we are proud to collaborate with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET), and the Ministry of Education to shape the future of education in Kenya. Through our joint efforts, we aim to integrate sustainability and green skills into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), equipping young people with the tools they need for a resource-efficient, greener economy.

Empowering Educators and Institutions

Our recent initiative, “Curriculum Development on Green TVET and Capacity Building of Master Trainers,” focuses on enhancing the skills of educators to embed sustainability across TVET programs. Master Trainers are leading this transformative work by integrating green practices into curricula and institutional operations.

The training emphasizes five key areas of transformative education:

  1. Green Campus – Implementing eco-friendly practices in TVET institutions.
  1. Green Research – Promoting innovation in sustainable technologies and practices.
  1. Green Community – Fostering community engagement with sustainability initiatives.
  1. Green Culture – Embedding sustainability values in institutional ethos.
  1. Green Curriculum – Developing content that prepares students for green industries.

Our Vision for Green Skills

Through ongoing collaboration with TVET providers and industry stakeholders, we have identified critical needs and developed tailored solutions:

  • Engaging with over 100 TVET institutions across Kenya to understand challenges and opportunities.
  • Designing a curriculum for KSTVET’s master trainers that prioritizes green skills.
  • Preparing to train 300 TVET managers and teachers by 2025, ensuring sustainability is at the forefront of education.

Building a Sustainable Future Together

This initiative is part of a broader effort funded by GIZ under the Promotion of Youth Employment and Vocational Training program, with support from Finland in Kenya, and implemented by management4education GmbH and GFA Consulting Group GmbH.

We are committed to fostering sustainable education and green economies, beginning with transformative TVET practices in Kenya. A heartfelt thank you to our partners and experts for their dedication to this essential mission. Together, we are empowering young people and building a future-ready workforce.
